Very useful post. I'm close to launch my project. My only doubt is about the total amount you are looking for. Is with larger projects the same?

Solid advice!

I reached out to hundreds of people via email. It was quite effective and the conversion rates were far above my industry average.

I started promoting six months ago because I wanted to build a following long before the campaign launched.

It's so crucial to get that email list.

If anyone is based in New Zealand, or where the website company Zeald is based, they will do a free website audit (worth $500) to study your website and your website objectives (e.g getting more newsletter subscribers). Then they give you a checklist to help you perfect your landing page, loading time, SEO results etc.

My project went live today: ... e-magazine

V Cool but your over total was just over £5k, impressive but not high figures.

Your advice is great but mostly is based around FB + paying for ads. All the rest of it, I agree with. Establishing a presense, getting potential backers, getting trusted and then contacting them when you're ready is all key to a successful campaign! - Get more exposure of your Kickstarter / Indiegogo Project - We Showcase the Ultimate Gifts
