I think it's sound information here. I think my goal is reasonable and I did the 30 day thing but, social media is not my strength. I'm working hard on it and one of my U K backers found me and gave me a page like (way cool of him). I wonder if timing plays a part. not too many going right now but, sometimes you don't get to pick when you fight the dragon. I'm getting afew in and out backers which is a little discouraging. but you gotta take a shot to make a shot.

here is my project; ... dice-tower

and my facebook:
any and all help would be appreciated.

Thank you for this - it really is very informative and some parts are counterintuitive such as the length of the campaign being negatively correlated with success. Caselace has gone for 45 days to encompass tow month-ends and also because of the holidays!

Here is our project:

I did calculate first two points and kept my goal and duration very realistic. That is $ 500 for 30 day project. But totally ignored the 3rd point. I did not think about the social networking. I some friends on facebook but most of them are not familiar with kickstarter. Now after reading different articles here I feel like i should have done some more preparation before launching my project,

Thanks for the advice. I will start working on these now.

Sweet stuff but I'm not so sure about just having a bundle of friends that might not even know you that well - likelihood of them contributing is super low (as I'm finding out)... or maybe I just have very cheap friends. LOL.

Those stats are crazy scary but a good motivator! We're definitely focusing on reaching out to our network and are really hoping our video (and momentum :D will catch the editor's attention at Kickstarter. Do you recommend sending that material the day of the launch or wait a few days?
