Discuss Projects You've Backed

How many projects have you backed and why do you back them?

What projects have you backed on Kickstarter that we should know about?

1. I recently joined kickstarter and have backed 2 projects

2. I love new innovative technology. This project I backed is a cool small size charger that can be used for both Android and Iphone. It can be easily plugged with any machine you are using or to a wall plug and even a car charger! Another reason for me to back projects is to support startups and bring new ideas to life!

I'm working on another project which is a Global Tracking Device and reason I started on that was my aunt has Dementia and wander the streets several times. So for her safety we needed a tracking device. Please check our web page for more information. We will be launching a kickstarter soon!

I personally only have backed a few projects (I'm young and just getting started on my own Kickstarter, which is why funds are low) but the projects I've backed have had a good story behind them, a cool reward, and they also have had a cool product. When I was younger, I backed the Blue Mountain State Movie just so I could get the shirt (which took 15 months to get to me lol), but I think it's a great concept that let's you be a part of something.

Hey Sal, this is a really interesting thread.

1. I have backed more then 140 Kickstarter projects across both my personal account and the Backerpress account over the past 6 months. My favourite categories are 'Technology' and 'Design'.

2. I generally back projects that bring something innovative and unique to the table. More importantly, I always do my due diligence.

Cheers everyone!

Kind Regards,

Team Backerpress!

Honestly? I back them just for the rewards, especially when they involve something like a PRO version (software) or a physical product. It's pretty much a form of discounted shopping.

I've backed over 100 campaigns on Kickstarter, about a dozen on Indiegogo, another dozen on Pledgemusic, and a couple GoFundMe. I'm passionate about supporting musicians, authors, game creators, and inventors.

I'm especially passionate about supporting Christian musicians and actually started a weekly podcast over a year ago to spotlight and discuss crowdfunding campaigns for Christian music.

1. Up until recently I had only backed 2 kickstarter campaigns, usually because it was something that I believed to be a admirable subject matter or a awesome idea.

2. Normally, since I am a broke college student, I am not able to donate as much as I would like. That being said, when I believe in something to it's core, I can rationalize spending money I might be wanting to save on that item or idea. It's not a question of money at that point, it's a question of making sure that idea is realized and brought to fruition.
