I have been looking at both for a long time, seems to me Kickstarter goes further in backer's protection, while Indiegogo seems to place the responsibilities on the starter's shoulders, but Indiegogo seems more flexible to me, for one with Indiegogo I can choose what currency I can use, while Kickstarter only allows me to use Canadian currency since I am living in Canada, hope this helps!

I think both of them are very good! But Indiegogo is more useful than Kickstarter. I like the style of Indiegogo. We have a campaign on Indiegogo that is on InDemand now. I have achieved a lot of process here. More and more backers support us by Indiegogo. So I think Indiegogo is more powerful than Kickstarter.

Do you guys think it depends on the type of idea you're trying to promote?
Lets say you're promoting an app, which one would be better for that?
