Thank you. I just spotted this post and saw you wrote about using Hyperstarter.

I surprisingly earned about 500 in kickbooster from a couple people linking me. I didn't even discuss having it. I am going to purchase it again for the relaunch and send it out in my launch email to my former backers and email subscribers.
i would also highly recommend hyperstarter, Giles is great. He knows his stuff. He is helping us with our relaunch. Should have used him the first time around.

I've now been with Kickbooster for approximately 10 days. Here's what I think based on my experience and what I know from one other colleague who is using them now as well:

    1. They are well worth the money. The up-front investment is tiny and you really can't go wrong with using them.
    2. They are easy to work with.
    3. Probably the most valuable service they offer is helping to get press for your campaign. The company that writes is then able to use one of the Kickbooster links to get a kickback on any pledges that result from their article. While they haven't gotten me any press yet, they did for my colleague (i.e. Mashable!) and it definitely seems to have boosted her campaign.
    4. Several bloggers have responded to the advertisement of an affiliate opportunity for our Kickstarter. This has helped expand our reach significantly.

    Overall, I'm a fan.

I agree. I got nothing from them. I honestly believe now that every single last marketing company is a waste. I mean think about it, if you build good products - people will find it, that's just how it works. Things go viral and that's the just the way it is.

kickbooster.com is a ripoof of kicksbooster.me. kickbooster.me actually works, sometime not hardly at all - but it's no scam.

Don't get messed up between the Kickbooster.com and Kickbooster.me

If it's the first one Kickbooster.com you're saying, the site is already down for a sale by now (5800 EUR).

**some might be confusing between the two, so I will be explaining the KB.me as well.
If the later, I have ton lots experience with Kickbooster.me. Don't get me wrong, I am not working for them. I have been using them for a long while (~ 1 year). So far, I love the service, they pay me on time and I can show you the proof, just email me. Perhaps, one bigger reason is that they are the only crowdfunding affiliate service.
They are definitely not a waste of time. Kickbooster might seem a little unneeded to project creators, but the main function is to serve a bond between online marketers and project creators. Online marketers get to share links that in return get a small fee to support their sites, while project creators got their project shared. It's a win-win.

Although there are some bad as well. When the link gets clicked, visitors will be directed to Kickstarter project page, and unlike many affiliate service, there are no timestamp cookies (24hr/7 days/30 day, etc) which is a huge pain in the neck to online marketers. Plus, if the visitors did not back the project right way, for instance, they go check the comment/FAQ/Updates (which they usually will), the referral link will not be tracked and creators simply wasted all their effort. Also, one last thing is the project affiliate links. I have seen many smart project creators set up an affiliate link on KB, and took it down after a few days. And the affiliate link can't be used anymore, meanwhile online marketers have already shared the articles which hugely benefiting the project's creators who receiving a traffic boost for free.

Project creators end up is the biggest party that got the majority of benefits.
I have been thinking lately whether to still using their service in future.

UPDATE: I have talked to the KB team, they've told me about the issue of Kickstarter tracking is depends on Google Analytics, which is the absolute only way tracking can work in the Kickstarter world. This is not something Kickbooster can change, as it is a limitation on Kickstarters end. For the other question, she has mentioned that once the marketers had registered, the campaign owner cannot cancel their subscription until the end of their campaign. However, they can disable the page showing to new marketers, while the referral link will still be active.
***Appreciate the throughout explanation by Vanessa from Kickbooster.

Hope this short review of Kickbooster.me answered your question.

Yeah i tried them too, not with the intention of getting people to sign up as boosters with them, but in the vague hope there might be a market of bloggers and Youtubers etc looking for the next cool product to promote and earn some decent revenue from. But as you said, there doesn't seem to be a forum or a market place where we creators could maybe pitch or show our project to those boosters. I'm sure the site could really well if you know some well connected people willing to promote you.

Basically i regret signing up and wouldnt advise it unless you have 'boosters' aka famous people in mind to help you out.

    Hey there!

    Vanessa from Kickbooster here.

In regards to the comment about Kickbooster having a forum or Marketplace, I just wanted to reach out to clarify that we absolutely do have a Marketplace where Affiliates can see campaigns and choose to promote them: https://kickbooster.me/marketplace. Our Marketplace advertises your project and displays what you are offering as a reward.

Our Affiliate Network has over 30k users looking for campaigns to promote. Our community of affiliates consists of:

    - Many larger media outlets
    - Bloggers/sites with a more dedicated following in their specific niche
    - Super Backers looking for the latest and greatest campaigns
    - People looking to make some extra cash on the side!

It's ultimately up to the Booster to choose your campaign from our Marketplace, so we can't guarantee your project will match their audience and be selected. There are simply too many variables and, really, no one should be promising you that. But our Marketplace gives them great visibility of new projects and the ability to grab an affiliate link if it's something that interests them.

Kickbooster is an extremely easy-to-use and cost-effective tool to compliment your existing marketing strategies. So we don't recommend simply adding your campaign to Marketplace and hoping for the best. When reaching out to media influencers, bloggers and industry contacts that are specific to your products niche, Kickbooster allows you to incentivize them to write about your campaign, ultimately tapping into audiences you may not have otherwise had access to. It's also a great way to increase your current backer engagement who can refer their friends/family/colleagues in return for cash-back.

And remember, outside of our extremely low monthly subscription fee, commissions are only paid on actual successful pledges that come through Kickbooster affiliate links, and only if your campaign is successfully funded.

Thanks for the conversation and please don't hesitate to reach out to us at team@kickbooster.me with any questions or concerns!
