Hello, my name is Josh and I'm currently pursuing my first Kickstarter. I'm two days into it and my mom had the idea to call up the local newspaper and ask if they would be interested in doing a story about it. She called them up today (thank you mom!) and they seemed to be interested. It's too early to tell if they really are, or they were just being polite to my mother but I though i'd share the idea with everyone. Maybe it'll help out with all of your projects.
