I've backed games such as Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous - what can I say, I love space games :)

Here's the most recent project that I've backed, it's called "AdventureQuest 3D". Cross platform 3D based mmo that's still in the Alpha stage. Their most known game, AdventureQuest Worlds, which has over 35 million users registered and 5k-10k people online at most times used to fund the project but they need extra help to be able to expand their creativity.

i have actaully backed 5 diffrent video games on the KS. Warmachine Tatics, Friday the 13th, Celstial Tails, Toby's Island and Darkwalkers. Of them I have only seen two complete and deliver but Friday the 13th is still pretty new so I don't expect it for some time now. The others were pretty much what they had on the KS or ended up being a bit better.

It is difficult to find co-op campaign games these days.

I haven't backed any games yet, but there's lot of good links here that I'm going to check out now! Thanks.

I have backed a handful of games on KS. Typically the EARLY (limited) rewards include access to a BETA but I have often been to late to access that. So specifically in the last on I backed -- I did not see a game for around 6 months which was disappointing. I think the Beta aspect to ALL rewards would be a nice incentive.

I think what @Farheb mentioned is super important with video game projects - showing live streams. When you show actual gameplay footage, it can be very reassuring to backers, especially when it is live and uncut.

I have never backed a Video Game project because it is often hard to tell if it will actually be a polished experience or not. That being said, I haven't viewed too many.
