My husband and I just launched our product selling wooden ties, and are a bit overwhelmed! There is so much to do! But we love it. Do you have any tips on how to build your community and reach out to people? Like what do you say or how do you go about reaching out to people?

Here is our kickstarter page if you want to check it out! https://www.kickstarter.com/proj…/961613606/cams-wooden-ties

Thank you for really interesting story. But sometimes happens that the creator is not so social and it's not easy for him to tell his story for the world.

Building any kind Community takes years that also something I am learning the hard way. You just really pin empty hope on large website platforms to shove your goals in enough people faces to be so lucky that some one willing take gamble on you.

build up your own community. Very helpful advice Justyna Sensei.

Wish you good luck with the next one!

I am launching bluetooth headphone soon in next few weeks.

Would you give me an advice which Facebook page did you get the support from?

We've been building our community and developing our marketing blitz for 4 months now and we're probably at least 3-4 weeks away from launching, but we're still feeling under prepared. I think there's a point where you can only prepare so much before you need to pull the trigger and go for it. There's no shame in failing the first time, learning from your mistakes and trying again.

This is quite some good insight. Thanks for sharing. I'm building a crowdfunding platform myself and I'm trying to learn how to help creators succeed from before they even build up their project pages all the way through launching until and after their projects have been successfully funded. Good to know!

Are there instances where a person launched a project without a "community" but was successful in funding? What happened that they were able to be successful in their funding?

What do you guys really mean when you say "build a community"?

Mailing list, facebook page? Or variety of media?
