Kickstarter Project Creators Beware!

oh my, why would anyone do this!
Nobody wins in this, personally though i would rather dump my cash and delete the account before returning $500+ to such a person.
obviously he doesnt get anything back, and all that happens is the project collapses potentially, or otherwise youve forced the founder to pay out of their own pocket, the money you put in.

Wow! This is crazy! Why do people do that?
Thanks for the info. This was not even on my mind so now has made me more cautious for when I launch my campaign.
Need to be aware of everything.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for this heads up!
There are always idiots who have to ruin it.
Is this problem happening a lot on Kickstarter now?
I am wondering how we can avoid it but i guess there isn't a lot we can do if someone pledges and then backs out?

It is so frustrating to hear how Amazon is not sticking up for the small business owners yet again. Do a web search on "Amazon Account Suspensions" and you will literally find 100's of cases related to Amazon Accounts that are suspended for little or no reason. Than do a web search on business who make it their primary goal to help small business get their account out of suspension, again; a lot of businesses here. The problem with account suspensions is that Amazon will hold your earnings for 90 days after the suspension :( In the case of fraudulent transactions by the customer mentioned in this thread; it would have been great if Amazon had banned this customer after the first incident!! Maybe stick up for the small business owner for once!!

This is good information to constantly check to make sure everything looks good. I know this post is old, but it got me thinking.

It's really sad and discouraging when you hear stories like this.
Not just shady backers but also those scam campaigns.

Really hurts people with good intentions especially ones that try hard.
Launching INEVITEK in Kickstarter soon!
