Thanks for sharing this. I have a few reviews of service providers I need to compile on the crowdfunding directory (directory.crowdcrux.com). This is such a new space that it's difficult to tell who is legitimate and seeking to provide value in the long run and who just wants to make a quick buck. Also, managing the expectations of to what degree a service provider can affect your campaign is important and still in the works in the industry.

I would like to also include that ayudos and crowdfundbuzz are a scam, they took our money and wrote a copy and paste press release with spelling errors. When we confronted them about it they said that even The New York Times makes spelling errors and sent us a copy of some article that had errors on it. They didn't even fix it, like seriously guys these people are ruthless scammers making a joke out of project creators and taking their money for crap worthless work. I will never invest in these two ever again and warn everyone to be careful when you look for promotional services.

@reelklip - Thanks for sharing. Yes, have heard mixed things about both companies. At the very least, they should have fixed it and or issued a new one if they already sent it out.

Today I was approached by a guy on Google+ claiming that his website can help me with "the crowd" for my new kickstarter campaign.

I made a detective out of myself and found out that their website is planned to be opened for a suspiciously short time, much like the usual scam website. This is sad.

    Here is the website.

@reelklip1 Thank you for your post. I was contacted by crowd fund buzz and I was actually considering using them. Is there anyone you would recommend.

Thank you so much for this topic! I was getting nervous about my kickstarter not getting enough attention and almost turned to crowdfundbuzz.com. They e-mailed me with in the day of my project going live, it felt like a scam, but this confirmed it for me.

I had a similar crap experience with Kinship Marketing, which is currently heavily advertising their service on Facebook. I don't know yet whether I'll get my $100 back.

@mlknighton - Could you create a new thread and expand on your experience a bit?
