    @ TrevorL I hear ya. The best thing that could come from the Potato Salad project would be the originators of it putting out details on how they marketing the campaign. They're clearly doing something right.

    I have mixed feelings..lol part of me wants to now do a campaign on potato salad and the other part finds this astonishingly hilarious!

    Heh... Yeah, I think the Potato Salad lightning strikes only once (I've seen copiers that have gotten a little but I think the Potato Salad phenomenon is like Black Swan events - they seem to come out of nowhere. Of course if that's not true, it would be fascinating to know how folks like this or the Death Star folks get people excited and plan their campaign.

    I think you have to choose which route to go though, either build legitimacy and potential for repeat successes based on excellent, useful products... or be so totally off the wall and silly in a way that captures something in people's imagination or tickles their funny bone just right.
