my name is Alan Cernak, and my project is to create giant, viewer-interactive origami I have dubbed Ugoki-Gami ("moving paper"). I was recently accepted to a residency at Studio Kura in Fukuoka, Japan, and I am excited to share this new take on traditional origami ("folding-paper") with the place where origami originated.

as incentives for my project backers I am offering everything from Skype Japanese lessons to poster prints of my and my daughter's anime- and Japan-themed artwork (examples at rain-and-sunshine.deviantart.com/gallery and artwrkx.deviantart.com) to versions of the Ugoki-Gami itself, both small ("desktop" size) and giant.

I am new to kickstarter and crowdfunding, and am open to any suggestions on how best to spread the word or any changes to my page that might help my project grow.
