Invariably a funded KS campaign will start slacking on it's KS updates, but will continue with its Facebook ones.

Are KS updates so much harder to do?

I don't think KS updates would be so much harder to do as much as:

1) It is easier for the creator(s) to update via FB, since if they're like many people, are on there everyday.

2) They realize that most of the followers will be regularly checking FB rather than KS.

3) They are under the impression that KS updates are more formal, which would require more effort to neatly write out, versus FB has a more casual vibe.
"Four Elements, Four Nations" - a book about the political and social themes of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" - is now on Kickstarter!
