I’m in the initial planning stages of my first ever campaign so am researching as much as I can. I’ve already come up with a question that I can’t seem to find any advice on… I’m UK based but not sure whether to use pounds or dollars for my campaign? I notice that the majority of campaigns are in dollars and that most of the really successful ones are in dollars. However my first PR stage will be to friends & acquaintances who are mainly based in the UK. My 2nd stage will be social media PR where I have a mix of British & US followers. What do you think? It wouldn’t put me off backing a campaign if it was in dollars and I do wonder whether international backers would prefer dollars….? I’d really appreciate your opinions on this!

I think use whatever you're comfortable with. Probably Pounds is best.

I thought you could'nt choose? Dont you have to use the currency for the country where you register your campaign? I have a campaign coming soon which i would prefer to be in EURO, but is in GBP as i am UK resident with UK bank account.

As you are based in UK so I think Pound will be the best option for you.

Hi there

As you are living in UK in that case for me you should go with pounds but If you are not comfortable with pounds then go with dollar.

That's actually doesn't matter if you use pounds or dollars but most people prefer dollars rather than pounds.
