I have their domain here: http://crowdfundmafia.com/. A google page speed test reveals that it is a 3/10 for desktop speed. They don't seem to put much effort into their website, and if they don't put much effort into their website then how can you be sure they are not a scam?

I think that they are both crap, and I think most of the community on here would testify to that as well.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Jellop does ads and mafia does tons of other stuff.

Out of curiosity, how do companies like Crowdfund Mafia (or) Jellop work exactly? If you research their website; it's reminiscent of an age old invention scam they used to run on television.

If you are a design engineer, and also, a software engineer — would a company like this, be able to take your SolidWorks renderings, your Autodesk Inventor prints, your CircuitDesigner plats and get it to the point where you can try to have your idea/invention Crowdfunded?

It seems as though Indiegogo, Kickstarter, and other such sites — either expect you to have a functional prototype already built, with manufacturing, a BOM, and other things in place. However, if you've gone that far, wouldn't you have already raised a significant amount of Capital?

For other organizations (not my own) I have brought hardware, software, apps, and other products all the way to market. They were established, and it cost tens of thousands of dollars to get to prototype, hundreds of thousands more to get to manufacturing, and all of it was either investor — or angel funded.

How is one supposed to get video, Adtech, a 'Profile,' and teams together — if one is an individual (essentially self-funding?)

This is my first foray into a forum — and I am genuinely wondering because I get inundated with firms e-mailing me that they can create a campaign, that can get me from start to finish.
