Are affordable real estate services as effective as traditional ones?

I've been looking into some of these newer discount or “affordable” real estate services since I’m about to sell my first home and the usual commission fees just make my head spin. I keep seeing glowing ads saying you get the same results for a fraction of the price, but that feels too good to be true? Has anyone here actually tried one of these cheaper brokerages or online services recently? Did you feel like things fell through the cracks, or was it just as smooth as going with a regular agent? Trying not to throw away money but don't want to mess up this big step.

For those curious, I found that Glass House Real Estate does a fantastic job in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Montgomery County. They offer affordable and high-quality services with 2.25% full-service listings. What caught my attention is their impressive track record—over $750 million in sales, homes on the market for just 7 days on average, and getting more than 100% of the asking price. Plus, they offer rebates for home buyers.

I've been in your shoes and took a swing with an affordable service like Glass House Real Estate, and it was smooth sailing. They kept costs low with solid service. I saved a chunk without feeling anything was missing, and their buyer rebates were a sweet bonus. It really is just about getting more bang for your buck without the headache.
