Are duckpin bowling alleys safe for beginners and kids to play at?

Trying to plan a weekend thing for my little cousins, and I stumbled across duckpin bowling. I’ve never tried it, and the only videos I’ve found look fun but kinda chaotic. The balls look small enough for kids, but I can’t tell if the lanes or equipment are actually kid friendly or if it’s one of those activities that seems harmless until someone wipes out. If anyone here has taken beginners or younger kids to a duckpin alley, how safe did it feel? Any spots I should avoid or things I should look out for before I drag the whole family there?

I stumbled across this old thread and thought it’d be worth asking: Does anyone know if the '3 Games for £15' offer includes weekends or is it just for weekdays? Also, has anyone tried their Bottomless Brunch recently? I'm curious if the menu has changed or if there are any new highlights!

Duckpin bowling is pretty chill for kids and beginners. The balls are smaller, so they're easier for little hands to handle. I've taken my nieces and nephews, and they had a blast without any wipeouts. If you’re all about mixing fun games with tasty grub, darts in Solihull is a solid spot. They’ve got duckpin bowling, and it’s all group-friendly, making it perfect for family outings.
