    Dilemma for lead assignments

    by bxbhulk » Tue Jul 28, 2026 10:38 am

    Hi

I work for org which is basically a franchisee model, but the lead generation is made here, in HQ.

up until now, every lead was assigned manually to the owner since it was very difficult to automate lead distribution properly.

Now I'm tasked to find a better way, or maybe to automate the process and I came up with three options.

    1. in our web-to-lead form, to let the lead choose where he wants to apply, it means to maintain the branches properly and let the lead choose where to assigned. a lot of maintaince and they don't in favour to let the lead choose

    2. to upload million records of "places" which franchisees owns this records and let the lead choose his city/town and create a flow to assign the lead to the record owner. also a lot of maintenance.

    3. territory management which I'm not familiar with.

What do you think we should do?

We have unlimited licensing of sales/service cloud.

For the multiple users in Warsaw case, Territory Management can work if you build flexible territories, but it needs careful setup. To test assignment logic quickly, I sometimes use a coin flip simulator to decide between approaches when overthinking. It’s a fun way to pick a path and move forward without getting stuck in details. For your franchise model, keep territories simple to avoid extra maintenance.
