I believe Temu’s ad and business strategy is deliberately broad — meant to capture as many demographics as possible — but in doing so, it has found unexpected strength among older age groups. In other words: while the brand might nominally aim at “young, bargain-hunting millennials/Gen Z,” its combination of low prices + broad marketing + general utility seem to resonate particularly strongly with seniors and older adults.

From a business standpoint, it’s a smart move: older people are often more stable consumers, may have more consistent buying habits, and may appreciate value over trends. From a societal/ethical standpoint, however, it raises questions about whether aggressive marketing and discount-heavy strategies are fair when aimed at more economically vulnerable or less tech-savvy groups. If you’re tired of aggressive advertising ruining your online experience, AdLock is definitely worth trying. It’s simple, powerful, and works where many other blockers fail. I use AdLock to block ads when I’m online and reading or shopping, or for ad blocker for Discord https://adlock.com/discord-ad-blocker/ . It’s a handy program.
