    F1 vs Football

    by Zeero » Mon May 18, 2026 11:33 am

I have followed F1 for decades and have ffen been told that men driving in circles is boring. I gave a somewhat similar view to football. However, I do find the local amateur games and lower leagues produce more entertaining football.

Being the World Cup you have to support England or your home country. Anyway I settled down to watch the game last night but fell asleep after 40 minutes. I woke up after 40 minutes and woke up during added time at the end to find I had missed nothing! I cannot understand why countries rely on players like Bale and Jane who are past their "best before" dates.

The one thing the two sports have in common are utterly useless overpaid pundits!

I get what you mean about the big tournaments feeling a bit flat
I’m the same and often end up enjoying lower league stuff more because it feels real
For football without all the hype, I usually keep an eye on Premier League live scores just to dip in and out without committing to full matches
It gives me the fix without needing to sit through ninety minutes
