    Field Service Management Software

    by Emad785 » Mon Sep 28, 2026 8:18 am

Hi everyone, it’s been a long while since I posted anything. Happy to announce I passed my red seal exam here in Ontario Canada and am starting a plumbing company. My focus will be on service and renovations since that’s the contacts I have so far.

My question is, does anyone have experience with field service software such as Service Titan or Jobber? I know the old timers here are going to roast me and tell me to use a piece of paper and a pen to write invoices etc, but just thought I’d ask. Thanks

I know this thread is a bit old, but I came across it while looking for software comparisons and wanted to add my two cents. For a one-person shop just starting out, House Call Pro really nails the basics without locking you into a big contract. Curious—since you've had time to run your business now, did you end up going with a paid tool, or are you still managing with a notebook and a phone?

Starting with a tool that fits your trade can save weeks of headaches later. For scheduling and customer follow-ups, I have been happy with a platform that handles automated reminders and payment links without a steep learning curve. On the operational side, if you ever move into monitoring equipment or remote diagnostics, consider how a system with proper alarm management — like the one I tested for a friend’s commercial job—keeps you from missing critical alerts. That kind of layered escalation is a game changer once your trucks are out daily.
