I heard about Kickstarter during taking a course held by Government, I have to complete that course in order to make myself qualify enough to apply a business starting loans. During the class, a mentor talked about crowdfunding and angels' investment.

Well, crowdfunding is NOT a popular thing in Hong Kong, only a very small group of people has heard of it. And due to the language problem, most of the people would not participate because they cannot understand the words.......
So it is very hard to promote a campaign in Hong Kong and in China.

Just an FYI - China has their own version of crowdfunding site, in Chinese of course. But I can't help to not think about how many FAKE products are on the site? Sorry to say that... But it's true.

Been following many cmapigns

I heard about it from a friend who had backed a project. Told me to get something going too. Few years later I'm working on a prelaunch for my new product. www.iquarium.us

I think we spoke a couple of weeks ago. But the prelaunch needs to get some excitement going and I think you need better photos to show off what people will be getting.

Hyperstarter, I can't remember talking to you. Thanks for the advice, the video also needs work. Unfortunately I don't have the budget to hire professionals. I'll try to get better photos for the giveaway, and better visuals for the actual launch.

Something interesting, 91% of the sign ups are coming in from mobile devices. Do you think this is because the video and pictures look better on mobile or do you think people are more active on the mobile verses desk/laptop? Thanks.

I discovered kickstarter when I was looking for a new way to launch a product. And then when I looked at projects who raised more than a 6 figure --> NEW GOAL!

I currently heard about crowdfunding from backing various projects such as Laser Team 2 and Million Dollars, But. I find the crowdfunding to be quite successful!
