How did you hear about Kickstarter or Crowdfunding?

I first stumbled on it years ago when a buddy shared a board game project link with me. Ended up backing it just to support him and kinda got hooked after seeing all the unique stuff people were creating. It’s that mix of discovering cool ideas early and feeling like you’re part of the process that keeps me coming back.

A friend used crowdfunding to fund her book on herbal foraging. I didn't know what it meant then and didn't investigate. It was not until several years later that I roughly understood simply by listening to what other people were saying. But it was not until last year when I did a Kickstarter for my own book that i began to see what was involved. That was a simple campaign that raised US$1,100 mostly from people I knew, but it was a start. Now, I'm taking it up another step with a board game Kickstarter campaign that needs to raise $32,000 to costs. The strategy is much more complex than my previous book campaign, and the marketing that I'm doing is more expensive and more complex.
