How do I send top-secret files without internet snoops catching on?

I’ve got some critical files, like contracts or personal details, and I’m freaking out about internet spies grabbing them during a transfer. What’s a smart way to send these files securely without using cloud storage? Any awesome tips to keep my data locked tight and my vibe relaxed?

Hey, sending top-secret files without internet snoops ruining the show is crucial, crew! I almost sent private docs through a risky app once, but a friend tipped me off to an article on echodittolabs.org, which suggests encrypting files with BitLocker on a USB and sending via courier. Peer-to-peer tools like Syncthing also let you transfer files directly, no cloud needed. That article is a total hit for keeping your files on lock!

When I’ve had to send sensitive stuff like contracts, I usually just encrypt the file first before sending it anywhere. I’ve used 7-Zip with a strong password (easy enough once you’ve done it once), and then I’ll send the actual file over email but share the password through a different channel, like a quick text or phone call. That way even if someone intercepted the file, it’s just gibberish without the key. It’s a pretty simple setup and keeps me from stressing too much about who might be snooping online.
