Is it allowed for beta mods to be paid for downloading the mod? Just curious. Tiny Turtle and Little Lizard's Dragonfire Mod is like that. Please let me know.

I see it's been a while since you've posted, but I'm curious if Forge has made any changes to their stance since then. Has anyone seen updates or statements from the team about paid beta mod access lately? Also wondering how this fits in with newer platforms like Modrinth or CurseForge’s monetization changes—do they treat beta releases differently for paid content?

I ran into a similar issue and found that you're fine offering early access perks through platforms like Patreon, as long as there’s a free version available eventually. I’ve seen people monetize desktop applications in different ways, but when dealing with Forge mods, the key is making sure you’re not locking the finished product behind a paywall and that you’re not breaking any distribution rules.
