Banking people:
I'm getting a proper apartment in Amsterdam and they want their rent via bank transfer vs. credit card which is what I've been doing. So I'm going to transfer a large sum of money from my US account to my Dutch account (10-15k). Seeing as how my US bank needs to do international transfers in person, I had to have a family member sign on as a joint account holder and then have them do it in person sometime this week.
Would it be possible to sign up for another paypal account and link it to my Dutch account and just pay it with my American account via the paypal platform? I feel like that would be easier, save my mom/dad/sister the hassle, and save me the 20-30 bucks in transfer fees (and also hope that it happens a bit more quickly this way as well).
Anyone know if this is something that could be done or is even legal/kosher?
