    termites

    by SsCoobyDoO » Thu Feb 13, 2025 8:25 am

Found a few termites today in one of the rooms of the house.

Hopefully will be able to spot treat and stop the invasion.

In case my house needs to be tented/ fumigated is there any precaution I need to take with my piano.

I am mostly concerned if they want to heat treat the house.

How bad is 130F for a piano for who knows how long?

    I will keep you posted.

Termites activity can definitely cause more harm than you'd think, especially if unnoticed for a long time. If you’re seeing frass or tiny pinholes, it’s worth inspecting your piano thoroughly or getting a professional pest control service involved. Termites tend to love the wood inside pianos, and they can wreak havoc if left unchecked.
