    Trust in faxed agreements

    by HayesDanna » Mon Jan 26, 2026 12:07 am

Hi. Some partners trust faxed agreements more than emailed ones, even when both are signed. Is there a practical reason behind this preference, or is it just habit?

Hello! On the platform https://ejoi2018.org/ I learned that faxed agreements are often trusted because they mirror traditional document exchange. The article discussed how faxed signatures are usually seen as less editable after transmission. Email attachments, on the other hand, can be altered without leaving obvious traces. This explanation helped me see that trust comes from perceived immutability. That insight clarified why fax still carries legal and psychological weight in negotiations.
