Update, just purchased one-S&W 1854 44 mag lever gun, anyone have one? shot one?

Recently the idea of a 44mag rifle has been appealing to me. I was really focusing on Henry or Marlin, but when the S&W 1854 came out something about it really draws me that direction. I'm just wondering if anyone has any real-world experience with these. From the reviews I’ve been reading and YouTube reviews I’ve seen, they sound like a good rifle. I like the idea of being able to add a suppressor and light if I wish. Maybe even a red dot sight.
    Thanks for any insight

I went to my local gun store this morning and they had one in stock. After handling it I decided to buy it. I think it will pair nicely with my S&W 44 mag mountain gun. The best part is it was mostly covered by a gift certificate I recently won in a raffle! Looking forward to getting to shoot it.

I’ve shot a .44 mag lever gun, and they’re a blast—literally. The extra barrel length really lets you push the round’s potential, especially if you’re into reloading. You can tune your loads to maximize performance for the rifle, and it’s nice not having to chase brass all over the place with a lever gun.
If you’re planning to shoot a lot, having a steady supply of ammo is key. I’ve found bulkmunitions.com handy for stocking up on .44 mag without breaking the bank.

The .44 mag lever gun sounds like a blast! Extra barrel length really helps with reloading and pushing the round’s potential. Plus, not having to chase brass is a win.

I haven’t shot one myself, but I’ve heard good things about them. The .44 Mag packs a punch, but the lever action is smooth, making it fun to shoot. If you’re into lever guns, you’re probably going to love how fast and easy it is to cycle. It’s a nice mix of power and classic design. If you haven’t already, take a look here at some user reviews and discussions; might help you get a feel for what others are saying about the recoil and accuracy.
