Web design business on Bubble vs Wordpress et. al

    by charli55 » Mon Jan 19, 2026 9:04 am

    Hi all,

A small part of my business includes building websites for my customers (on Wordpress) - it’s not a huge revenue stream and it’s a real PIA for me compared to building with Bubble.

I wondered if anybody had experience running a web-design business using Bubble, as opposed to a “traditional” tool like Wordpress etc.

I know how Bubble works so this isn’t really a technical question, more about the operational and commercial practicalities of it.

I’m contemplating pushing this a bit more and using Bubble, but I’m not sure it’ll actually make my life easier, compared to using Wordpress.

    Grateful for any/all input.

I’ve found that the real lift in making Bubble projects profitable is setting super clear scopes and locking revisions early, otherwise the hours melt away. Offering fixed packages with well-defined add-ons helped a ton. I still pair with a service like web designer Tacoma for clients who care a lot about long-term SEO or want a more traditional site feel, then build the app-like stuff in Bubble so the workflow stays sane.
