I've been unemployed since June (was an Office Manager & General Manager of two different companies). On and off for the last several years, I also was cast, crew, and produced small projects for people, some paid, some not. Right now, I am working on getting work producing projects (music videos, industrials, etc...) to keep me afloat, because otherwise, there is no money coming in at all. Kind of disturbing, but I'm holding it together.

What is your passion project?

I've written 4 movie scripts (have 5 & 6 coming), but for the last 7 years I've concentrated on producing this one script called Chocolate is Not Better than Sex. It's in its final draft. I have 2 other producers involved, possibly 3, I have some talent attached, and a small sum in the bank from prior & current campaigns totaling about 7K. It's hardly enough to shoot yet. But we plan on shooting in December. (I say we, I am putting it out there, I'm sure the others are nervous.) The show must go on. I am on kapipal.com/chocolate which is a different kind of fundraising site. It doesn't take the fees that kickstarter takes but it's not as well known or public as KS is. I'm a bit torn.

I have these ideas:

Separate my needs and run them on different platforms:
i.e.
Funds for crew on KS
Funds for cast on Indiegogo
etc...

What do you think about these things. I would love some honest feedback.

I honestly, get scared putting up a number on KS and saying it's towards a "skeleton crew" or something.
I want it to get notoriety, I want it to get on the news, make it big, reach name actors, etc...

I have even held a live red carpet fundraiser which was really fun and helped but didn't make what I'd hoped it would.

Would appreciate input, ideas, referrals, etc... I haven't started the KS campaign yet as I decided I better talk to you guys first and read forum posts and get informed.[/color]

Create a dedicated thread for your project. It will facilitate discussion of it.

I wouldn't use it, but I thought that your project was fantastic, so I backed it. Small pledge, but a big thumbs up to you on this idea.

I run a live webstreaming network that broadcasts from sports to opera, and sometimes in the same week. My job is never boring,thats for sure.

What is your passion project?
My passion project is to combine my day job with my old job, which was designing. I have a love for arts, crafts and anything handmade. I still make historical reproduction costume pieces occasionally.

Hello! My name is Stephanie and I recently started a project. The idea was to find a way to make people smile in a random tangible way. After a lot of discussion I came up with the Somewhere Out There Project. I wood burn small tokens with motivational messages and leave them in places that I go for people to find. It has been great so far I have people reply on the Facebook page that they've found their own smile, and I have shipped a few out to other states and even some to Australia! I decided to try to get some Kickstarter funding in order to be able to ship more to different places so I started my campaign. I am just looking for tips on how to get people involved. I don't have a lot of money and this isn't really so that I can make any, I just really enjoy bringing joy to people and I want to be more capable of doing so!

Visual story-telling. Would love to tell a story w/o dialogues, w/o music. Just ambience and sounds.
