My Kickstarter project is going to be a national news site, focusing on stories that are pertinent, fact-based, and bite-sized. I'm working on building a social media following but I'm not sure what journalists I should be building relationships with, considering that my site will, fundamentally, be competition to their site. Any ideas? Thanks.

All Journalists in all countries? You could start off with niche sites first, local ones and then generic sites.

Hey JesseDean, you can find relevant journalists using Krowdster's targeted media lists

I would look at previous campaigns like yours and see what they did by searching on google or by reaching out to them.

Start with one journalist!

Look for journalists and bloggers who have written articles related to the topic of your campaign. This article may help. https://www.krowdster.co/blog/4-tried-a ... -2019.html

The best way to find journalists who could write about your campaign is to look at past projects similar to yours and see who wrote about these projects. Hire a VA on Upwork to do this task so you can focus on tasks where you can bring more value.

If you want to connect with journalists you should sign up on Help a Reporter Out as a Subject Matter Expert.

I think there are some good international media databases out there if you google it.
