It took two months every day, the creation of the rewards being most time-consuming but oddly, fun.

I would agree...the reward structure has been the most time consuming and intricate part of the planning and we're still working on it. We're planning on launching the campaign mid-September so we're spending a lot of time on it.

3 months I guess. And still don't have the video that I would like. 3 months ago all I had was just an idea in my head. And I even had no idea that crowdfunding would be my chance. Hope it will

2.5-3 months for the first one and 2 for the second one

I have been working on my project for about 9 months. And if I were to estimate the amount of time spent on the kickstarter I would say it has been about 5 months.

it really depneds on what you mean to prepare. like starting product or starting marketing/pr...

3/6 months is way way way too long to start pitching products/stories cause no one will care but is a pretty good timeline if you want to try to build relationships with prospective reporters to make the eventual pitch easier.

Our kickstarter project has been in the works for a year now and was just launched 2 days ago. We had originally planned to launch our project in just a few months but the wait was well worth it. By putting in the extra time and work our project grew to be something we never expected!

Pretty tough call. You need to build your network but sometimes an idea can carry itself, just launch it and it succeeds. Other's take 6 months to set it all up and they fail. Work smarter, not harder.

Does this include the creation of the product itself? If so, 18 months!

Our Kickstarter is for printing some graphic novels. We started making our book well before we even thought we would use crowdfunding.

Setting up the campaign took about 2 weeks. Such bad planning.. we should have done social media for 2 months prior.
