You started to gain traction after first week and it was a steady continuous growth. What were your actions?

What fascinates me the most is your last 6 days! It went through the roof! a third of all amount is in the last 6 days.

Can you give us a bit of an insight?

There's plenty to learn after our first Kickstarter launch for a new product we have as a company. This was the first time we have tried Kickstarter as a promotional funding idea and it has proved to work.

We found that there is a great fallout from the first week, if you don't continue to do PR work and get reviews out there for your product. Overall, it has been a great experience and we are almost at our funding goal for our newly created product!

Calvin (c1ue) - one pf the best posts i've read. you touched on new data, not the same old same old. i am a photographer, and i read with interest your comment about niches working. my issue is that my project is a collection of work - lifetime's worth, but for me, at 71, that's a long time so the work runs the range of what i was into at the time. in other words, i have to get people to click on my widget without having the benefit of my book being photos of a genre, location, band, or anything specific. so far, ok, but not sure how it will ramp from here. my project is http://kck.st/1kTt1qF. It's definitely PR! We didn't realise it before launching our project last week, and now we are picking up it in a hard way....
Anyhow, it's been a great chance to learn things from different categories. Hopefully we can make it happen!

I learn't that Kickstarter does not have any decent analytics for traffic and that any links to a project need to go to a redirect or other system so you can get best statistics.

-- is that there are so many variables. It's so hard to predict what people will and won't do. When our campaign is finished I have a feeling that I'll be surprised by people, most of all -- that those who I thought would be big donators weren't, and people who I never expected to kick in gave a lot.

Does anybody have any advice on how to draw a new crowd to us during these last 5 days when we still have 30% to go?

You will get a burst of funding the last 48 hours. Some of the activity will be because you will ramp up promotion and your backers will bird dog for you--the concept is called "unlocking the money."

Also, see that link beneath your video that says Remind Me? No way to know, but 48 hours before the project ends, everyone who clicked that will be notified that the end is soon and urgency and scarcity may prompt them to pledge.

Have you thought about hosting a Project Wrap Party or event? My next campaign I plan on having some sort of event offline. I feel we crowdfunders have yet to tap that source of funding. There is nothing more powerful then connecting with backers in person. In person, people can feel and see your passion!

Im just learning myself. I am trying to find info on getting the word out on my project. Putting it KICKSTARTER is good but there must be other ways to get it noticed.

Is there a way to contact your backers prior to the end of your campaign? If so, where do i find that info?
