It depends, if you're ads are converting well but you can't get press than go with that. I've heard that PR can drive a ton of backers but it's hard to get media coverage. -

It is so hard to get press coverage by using crowdfunding PR firms that I strongly believe it is not even worth trying.NEW WAVE PIPES

Agreed, which is why you never want to use Crowd PR or any other marketing agency like them. Beware. -

PR if you can land something huge like CNN, otherwise Facebook Ads provide solid growth. -

I am in agree. But also you don't need cnn - there are tons of tech blogs that are worth getting into as well. -
