My project was completely funded in 2 hours because of all the networking I did prior to launch. I must have sent over 2 thousand emails to reporters and press people, and was rewarded with a Fox News interview, about 10 blog articles, a business podcast, a newspaper article, and I was even invited to speak about entrepreneurship at the Seattle Interactive Conference this October in front of 500 people. I'm 18! I don't have much experience, but the executives at the conference like my enthusiasm.

I think I gotta agree with with more money you raise the more it becomes popular. I wonder if some guys self pledge tons of money first and then pull some of it back.

@SkyTower. My project is belong to Design category. KS only allows 1 item per backer. It also limit the price you set, if the price is too high, I think the KS reviewer will reject it.

So true, although they will for a price!

The best advice i had was to have following even before launching the campaign. Too bad I heard it too late :/

The best advice i have received.....hmm. I believe that would be too leave no information out, let the public know EVERYTHING about you AND your project. This builds somewhat a degree of trust.
