I'm taking a shot on Jake Irvin and the Nationals today on a F5 play ML/RL plus Total.

When you look at Jake Irwin's home Road splits. He's giving up 2+ runs less on the road than at home. While 7.03 to 4.76 is a huge difference, 4.76 still looks pretty high. Well, if you look at the Padres batting order, they've only averaged 3.28 runs in the last seven games

If you look at Jake, Irwin's advanced stats "BAA, (batting average against) opponents are only hitting .198 against him on the road.I think Petco Park "where home runs go to die" is a perfect spot for Irwin and paints part of the picture for backing him.

Standing in Irwins way will be Nick Pivetta ( in my best Obi-Wan Kenobi voice) "now there's a name I have not heard in a long long time" yes this will be pivettas 1st start since April 12th (nearly 5 months!)

Now I don't know what to expect but I do know he had a pretty good rehab start at AAA El Paso, where He gave up 2 hits, 1 walk with 7 strikeouts in 4.1 innings. But that was AAA now he's back at Petco Park in his first game in nearly 5 months.

The Nats have been averaging 4.28 runs per game in their last seven games, but take into account they have faced the likes of the Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves pitching staffs.

I'm taking a chance on the Nats here against a pitcher who hasn't pitched in quite a while and a team who has been struggling at the plate. I find Value in the F5 at plus money and I also like the insurance of the +1/2 run at plus money as well.

I also think both pitchers and the Marine Layer at petco park could keep this under 4.
