I couldn't quote your initial post but to break it down for everyone it's:

1. I set a reachable goal

2. I reached out to close friends and family personally right before launch

3. I partnered with someone who had successfully run a similar campaign

- I think people should take note with these 3 simple actions. Buying marketing can work (if you're using the right strategies and targeting the right audience), but these 3 things is what kicked off this user's campaign...

I want that 1,500 backers list so much. Are you sharing it anywhere?

Did you message the other guy that had ran the successful campaign?

I reached out to everyone I knew who had already run a successful Kickstarter campaign and offered to do a revenue share with anyone they referred to my campaign. I also messaged anyone I found online who I thought had a similar audience, and offered to do a revenue share with them.

Congratulations on your amazing success, Hoku! Could you be more specific with your ideas on partnering with other successful Kickstarter campaigners?

1. What do you say/ask when you contact them about a revenue share?
2. What terms do you offer with your revenue share - a percentage of total funding, or something else?

I also wanted to mention that right after I had launched my initial Kickstarter campaign, I was contacted by another new Kickstarter campaigner who asked me if I would contribute $1 to his campaign if he contributed $1 to mine. I thought that was a great idea -- a great way to increase your backers in one day to help boost your project up in the ranks.

Thanks for the advice, will make sure I meet those requirements to make my kickstarter successful!
