Your novel sounds very interesting. I hope that there are some other platforms you can use if this one doesn't take off or hit the goal with kickstarter. Reddit has an option now and indiegogo seems to be popular as well based on the feedback I got from my own readers.

Best of luck! Even if it doesn't work out you can certainly submit the novel to quite a few reputable sites who have their own copy editor. Check out ralan.com.
