Hey guys!

Coming up with interesting rewards is hard work! Let's start brainstorming some!

Answer any of the following:
- What rewards or interesting rewards have you come across?
- What rewards have you come up with?

Feel free to share your campaign link after answering.

Here are a few articles I've put together brainstorming reward ideas:

Other ways to get reward ideas:

It depends on your category, but you can get reward ideas looking at some of the trending Kickstarters, like these: http://www.crowdcrux.com/6-rapidly-fund ... off-april/

One important thing to note: all rewards must conform to Kickstarter's TOS/guidelines.

Rules: https://www.kickstarter.com/rules
Prohibited items: https://www.kickstarter.com/rules/prohibited

Send everyone something personal, handwritten thank you letter, a signed picture of the team with the product, some food you made yourself to share with them. Anything that makes it more personal and less business like.

I was thinking a future credit like lifetime discounts, or pledging 20$ to get 40$ credit.

Giving a backer a positive experience to which they can relate you and your campaign is probably a good idea. Perhaps a gift tailored around the area where they live; a groupon offer, or a donation to some community institution. Everyone loves their local libraries and museums. It leaves them with a feeling of being part of something greater rather than just participating in an insular cause.

I feel as though I went overboard with my rewards where shipping costs may become overwhelming. Can someone give me advice on the rewards I have listed and what I can do to edit: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/43 ... n=44b5f5dd

What my campaign focuses is creating a Youtube channel. So the prizes aren't too special, but I did try my best on coming up with nice prizes. What I have now is the opportunity to have yourself featured in an episode, give out shirts with logos/designs/icons related to our group, one with our signatures on it, customized mugs, a customized hoodie featuring logos/designs/icon with signatures (optional), the option of having us review any game and a shout out through a video, a signed C.D. featuring our original music with the option of us composing 2 songs just for the buyer in a separate signed C.D., a customized flag and poster.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I once backed a campaign from a comedian who offered to give those who donated $1 to his campaign the opportunity to meet him at the nearest 7 eleven store and receive a deluxe kick in the butt. Hundreds of people donated, myself included because I was having a rough day and it gave me a good laugh. (BTW, had never heard of the guy until I ran across his campaign).

Moving on. Backers love incentives and especially tangible ones, so be sure to offer incentives that you would want. It drives me bunkers when campaign creators offer to give you a shout out. A shout out is nice, but something tangible is nicer.

My two cents. If I think of a great incentive, I’ll post later.

In the meantime….I love this campaign.
